I'm an Elam trained painter living in the Coromandel. I'm as keen as ever to explore what paint can do and what painting can say. I am currently enjoying a new life as a retreat manager living off the grid and painting and drawing without exhibition deadlines. That's given me a whole new freedom to reinvent my practice and doing things from a more intimate, spontaneous and joyful place. You can see some of this under 2020 New Small Works.

I love getting feedback on my work, am open to conversations about rentals, commissions, trial purchases and rent to purchase agreements. My work doesn't photograph well because there is a lot of attention to detail and surface variation that can only be seen as you move around the work as the light changes. A lot of my work has been big, really big and people are surprised when they see that. Working small is a whole new set of challenges.

Paintings which are available to be purchased are listed by place under the 'Paintings' tab. My work can be viewed at Muse Gallery, Havelock North,
Mobile Art Gallery (rental/purchase in Auckland),  Cadence Communications, Auckland, (ask for Suzanne),  and purchased directly from me.

Please use the contact form below for any enquiries or comments.

Warmly
Lorraine
